I am a holistic practitioner who has been working in the health field since the late 1990’s. It is my intention to explain my philosophy and approach to natural medicine because I believe it is important to choose a practitioner that you feel comfortable with and who will inspire you to better health. My understanding of holistic medicine takes into account all aspects of your wellness which includes all contributing factors to your health. I take a thorough case history and together with the patient make an informed decision on the best approach to wellness. I am a qualified Naturopath and Homoeopath, incorporating Kinesiology and Energy healing in my practice.

Philosophy

My committment to the community is to provide an opportunity of wellness ,empowerment , inspiration and vitality to everyone. A healthy, balanced, supportive and strong community is a big motivation for me and inspires me to do transformational work . A well individual contributes positively to his or her’s community and this ‘rippling’ effect allows happiness and personal growth to flourish. I believe that illness is an indication of imbalance in the body. My role is to play’detective’ andnarrow down the cause of this imbalance. This imbalance can be expressed in the body, mind or spirit and often in all three at same time! The body is the physical representation of disease. The mind is what you are thinking or your attitude and spirit is how you are feeling emotionally. Wellness is how well you adapt to your environment. If your immune system is struggling to recover from illnesses then you may need to see a professional to improve this.

One side of Wellbeing management is to take vitamins herbs etc. to maintain homoeostasis. What happens when you are well? Is it still useful to see me? I think there is an opportunity for expansion when you are well but also when you feel on top of the world! We can begin new health strategies when we are well to maintain and prevent disease rather than wait until we are very depleted and sick. There are many tools that I use in my clinic. Often it is a combination of all these but just as often I will use one over the other. Whatever is best for the person in front of me. Natural medicine is complimentary medicine. It is not unusual for most people to be on one or more presciption medications. A qualified practitioner is trained to ensure that there are no interactions with what is prescribed by us. Part of our treatment is to minimise the side effects of drugs.
